A San Francisco cable car holds 60 people. This blog was viewed about 460 times in 2014. If it were a cable car, it would take about 8 trips to carry that many people.
Every year wildlife is born in the wilderness, sort of like our Lord being born in a manger among animals. This is an original oil painting of a very wild gray wolf drinking from the stream on a very cold morning when only water with swift current stays open. The sky blue and very white snow you know just how cold, cold really is, and yet this is all a normal day in a gray wolve’s life as he searches for his daily bread. Canines are unique and can live in harmony in nature, only killing what is necessary to live, and he never wastes any food, never, the wolf pack depend on great hunting skills and great endurance to turn the tide for their pack. They are communal animals, ranging from as few as two to close to twenty wolves may make a pack, much is dependent on competing wolf packs and food supply.
If you get a chance to visit the International Wolf Center in Ely, MN there is much to learn and to share because the gray wolf is under attack once again, and there seems to be this injustice going on again, so I hope others like you and your freinds will learn more and become aware of ways to help them survive, they need a body of advocates or they might not survive. I love to paint and share all wildlife aniamal’s life stories through showing you their unique behavior from studying and seeing them in the wild.

Hopefully by the time morning rolls around, the snow will subside and I can get the snow blower working, just 30 minutes ago, we have 14″ of new snow and is still snowing. Dear All,
I enjoy painting and the beauty in working with both ETSY and eBAY is that I can paint steadily and list my new oil paintings on both sites. Seems that the two businesses have different customers and like to buy differently, so ETSY is a fixed cost purchase price and on my eBay is a bidding price, the highest bid goes home with the carrot, smile!

For those of you who follow my FASO website and blogs you probably know that I spend a lot of time in Crex Meadows studying the sandhill cranes. Each year they gather in Crex and this year we have about 25,000 birds, they usually stay as long as the standing water is open, and when we get our first real winter snow and cold usually about Thanksgiving Day, they start to migrate south toward TN, AL, and FL. They do stop in IN for a while making their journey less stressful, migrating as you might not know is very strenuous work for these birds, as the upper level winds can play games and flying as you know is no game and is very dangerous even with experienced birds who fly south each fall.

The beauty of an arctic wolf and among friends will live a long time and a natural life, among enemies, UGH!!! That is what is happening today, the wolves are not doing well, so help the International Wolf Center and talk to people to really get to know the true story, is very important just like the whooping cranes, how do you think their numbers dropped to just 278 by being treated wonderfully well over all the years UGH!! People your voice is very important and a constant and positive input can turn the tide, from against to for, just believe in what you do and what you say and help one another. Painting large and small takes a great amount of skill doing both sizes. I have learned when painting the finite details of a small painting, where shifting gears and going to larger these paintings take quite a lot of time yet all the lessons learned painting small has helped my large paintings.
IN today’s moose painting on eBay, this is an original oil painting of a Canadian Moose and also a gray wolf( not on eBay) both are very colorful and full of details too. I listed this moose painting on eBay for someone looking for smaller yet a real piece of fine art, nicely framed, an original Jim Springett wildlife oil painting. In the whole world since presenting my work, one painting at a time, I have about 2,500 folks who have a Springett original, not a lot but you have to remember painting is not a printing press and I paint about 110-140 per year and those are all original not a repeat in any one design, takes a lot of work, plus my field time to include.
