What makes a Painting?

Ever wonder why a painting speaks to you, you do not know the artists and yet the work is wonderful. Go with it, appreciation is heart felt and a part of who we are. I am very grateful to be painting today at this time.

I think art is a very special medium and one thing as a painter I love color and that translates for me to a way of seeing, a way of loving my subjects for people and sharing that love, color is love. Awesome, my color is love, kindness, and peace..

These four paintings are unique and as you view can you say how they appear, what do you think, they are small 5″ x 7″ and 9″ x 12″ with a lot of thought going into each one.

Peace and may your days be bright and happy. If I can paint for you let me know. I paint wildlife because I love all the birds and animals with all my being and God’s creation is meant to be honored just like people, animals teach me greatly.

What a Beautiful Day

  1. What a wonderful day, the Lord has made, awesome, weather, or whether you believe. Have a great day, and help your friends near and far, remember that all of you are descendants of Abraham, so you are blood related too. That is a fact and t…herefore are in God’s family.
    Make a wish through a prayer and continue to pray for this person or persons all year long. God will answer your prayers everyone of them and sometimes the shuttle answer if you are not in tune with God will go right over your head and you will continue to think he is not listening, but O how he is ever listening. Do you quiet down and read your Bible daily just say for a half hour? Why not? I love reading the Living Bible and continue to enjoy a Bible gifted to me by my first wife on my birthday in 1974, and I thank Pauline for this most precious and heart felt gift, thank you dear, where ever you are today, bless you.
    Remember the language you use says a lot about where your heart is( your inner being, not your pumping heart) Smile, have a great day.
    Being married more than once if you were divorced does not guarantee a successful marriage, those are the facts and what you learn about love speaks volumes. Does your wife take out the garbage, walk the dog, do the billing, clean the house for no pay, change the oil in your truck, snow blow the driveway when -20 below zero, cook your meals each and everyday, wash your clothes and dishes, cook special anniversary or birthday dinners, make you special hand made gifts, make the bed every morning, dust and clean weekly, bring the mail in each day, and does she take you on a date? I thought so, there is a lot to learn about love, not love making silly all animals do that comes with the territory. But the work that is a horse of a different color, is the partnership at 50:50, if not there needs to be a rebalancing or the ship is not going to sail. Have a good day, and if you are Native American go visit with an elder and listen to their sage wisdom, not from a book but from the heart and soul of countless generations through the ages. That is as good as it gets. Amen!!! Remember what the 3 exclamation marks means, the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Amen!!! Ok Peace be yours today, one day at a time just for today. Thank you Sir, thank you Madam.

” Grief, 5 Stages Presented by Elisabeth Kubler Ross

grey owl-3The pass of loved ones, or any form of death is a very stressful time for the family after a death in the family. The odd thing is that the sequence as studies by Kuber Ross is not a theory but what actually happens to each of us and pretty much in this sequence. Grief is not a laughing matter and fixing is not like putting a band aid on a stubbed toe, far from it.

The 5 stages are 1.bargining 2. anger 3. depression 4 denial 5. denial then acceptance

Please get a copy of Kubler Roos book ” On death and dying” and try to help others trying to cope with a death in the family.

Please help others struggling with their grief, when you can, and keep the faith and keep praying and calling on Jesus name.

” Birhthday Wishes ” To Mary Runestrand

The years come and the years go and father time keeps moving and as the sun rises each morning, God grants us the wisdom of the ages to live our life in abundance and  happiness, most importantly in freedom.

Mary has stood the test of time seeing WWII, Korean War, Vietnam War, Iraq War and the list goes on and on, but most importantly since I have known her starting in 1995 until today, she has never said one word against me and while that doesn’t sound like much listen to how people talk about their own family let alone a son-in-law who is only related since being married to her daughter. I love Mary like my own mom, who has since passed away in August 2009 at the age of 89, just short of hitting 90 years of age, and that is awesome too.Mary’s prayers are heart felt and I know when she prays, they are soft and full of love for Marge and I, we both love her with all our hearts.

Happy Birthday next week on Sunday, October 27 th, Mary being 92 is just so wonderful and awesome, and we’ll celebrate and have a great time. Here is a painting that I am gifting to her, an original oil painting on a 9″ x 12″ x 3/8″ True Gesso panel, and is called, ” Noel” for the coming of Jesus and this orchid is a beautiful array of blossoms. Enjoy the most blessed day and may your day be filled with joy and much happiness.

Sing In Praises, Thank You Father

All my days I have loved to sing so when you get a chance to support some artists singing your favorite sounds and love to sing, go rock. Being dedicated to your love in music is good and keeps your soul loving and flowing.

Losing parents is no cake walk, the Faith Of Our Fathers, Holy Faith, comes to mind and being able to send them on their way to heaven with blessings is so hard to do. Turning rain into sunshine  for the rest of time never letting go of their love, some awesome stuff, very heart felt, all I know is that I love them for all time. It Is like starting over in life when a parent dies and is hard to keep happy. I have known love so deep with my parents they gave me life yes, but God created me, so I remember all the lovely things over all the years and never wanted to see them go, no never, so God’s grace is over me to help soothe my heart and soul. And family children and spouses are loving but is different than a parents love.

For all you veterans All men and women who have been struggling I have so much gratitude for you and you gave me so much security and you hear all our pain, but you help to make a safe memory and bring security to America, giving of your lives and most of all the passion you have to follow our true commander in chief, our Lord, Jesus. The Lord does so much for me and everyone peace be yours today.

A Wonderful Birthday Celebration For My Wife Marge

Morning Light-WCYesterday was a very busy day, Bubba and I hit the road at 0700AM to drive to Blue Earth, MN to attend David Hueper’s memorial service at Patton Funeral Home in Blue Earth. These are very challenging times for his family and especially the community who love David. Pastor Joel  a very spiritual man who added some light hearted stories to ease the tension. The family is very generous and all the children and David’s wife Ann, wanted me to have David’s walking stick, the wood was cut by his son Grant and David did the finishing work, with a finishing varnish that displays the beautiful wood grain. Today the family travels to Little Falls, MN to Camp Ripley for a military burial ceremony and on Thursday a day of rest after a very long and heart felt journey.

Doug and Zoe close friends and the four of us enjoyed the evening. Adventures Chief, Mark is a master at preparing steak and the tenderloin was the very best. Thank you Gary and Juli and Beria and Mark for the wonderful celebration, and Marge’s birthday was a very fun time.

This painting is to celebrate today’s blessing that come from our Lord Jesus, peace to all of you and I wish you all a happy birthday celebration too.

John 16 verse 23-24

” But I will send you the Comforter—the Holy you a  Sprit, the source of all truth. He will come to you from the Father and will tell you all about me. And you also must tell everyone about me, because you have been with me from the very beginning.”

” At that time you won’t need to ask me for anything, for you can go directly to the Father and ask him, and he will give you what you ask for because you use my name. You haven’t tried this before, [ but begin now]. Ask, using my name and you will receive, and your cup of joy will overflow.”

” Yet I will not be alone, For the Father is with me. I have told you all this so that you will have peace of heart and mind. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows; but cheer up, for I have overcome the world.”

” I guarded them so that not one would perish, except the son of hell, as the Scripture foretold.”

” I have told them many things while I was with them so that they would be filled with my joy.”

” Make them pure and holy through teaching Tis Thee I See-JS so they will be in us, and the world will believe you sent me.”

Fruit of The Holy Spirit

When I sit around the studio and work on my painting, my process is very simple, or so it seems. My work is faith based and as a Christian, I do have a goof every once in a while, that does irk me. In reading this morning Paul’s teaching from Jesus in Galatians, Paul reminds me that the old Jewish Law does not apply, as such, in the current life, since Jesus came, and the fruits of listening to the Holy Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control. By living now by the Holy Spirit’s power lead’s me in every part of my life. I have a few rough spots still after all this time, can you imagine that, still need to go through the refiners fire, yea I go by the grace of God. Hmmmm, just doing God’s work seems to be the best medicine to right my ship and not to worry about honors or popularity, they are very short lived, and can cause jealousy and hard feelings.

Best get back to painting today and to bless others, do for other as I would want done unto me, and just to live in peace and harmony.

David’s, ” A Lovely Poem of Praise”

” My heart is overflowing with a beautiful thought! I will write a lovely poem to the King, for I am full of words as the speediest writer poring out his story.”

” You are the fairest of all; your words are filled with grace; God himself is blessing you forever. Arm yourself, O Mighty One, so glorious, so majestic! And in your majesty Go on to victory, Defending truth, humility, and justice. Go forth to awe-inspiring deeds! Your arrows are sharp IN your enemies hearts; They fall before you. Your throne O God, endures forever. Justice is your royal scepter. You love what is good and hate what is wrong. Therefore God, Has given you more gladness Than anyone else.”

Hawk Ridge, in Duluth,MN On Skyline Drive

My wife Marge is doing a beautiful work, at Hawk Ridge and this is her second year documenting  eagles, hawks, owls, song birds all birds migrating through this area near Lake Superior called Hawk Ridge. Last year Marge and I went often and we both were able to release a red tailed hawk and Goshawk, what an experience. In Marge’s second year she is filling in the areas to complete a beautifully illustrated Blurb Book. Once she has this book completed I’ll work on attaching a link to take you to the Blurb site, where you can review and purchase a copy she might have both an e book and a hard cover or soft cover, you do the selection based on how you like to read, Her books are awesome and I highly recommend.
